The brief:

Following Visa becoming the official sponsor of FIFA Women's World Cup 2023, the global brand has rolled out a campaign to celebrate the women representing each country that participating in the WWC 2023 Finals in Sydney/New Zealand.

For Visa Vietnam, they tasked us to come up with a hero film (30s), featuring Huynh Nhu, the captain of the Vietnam's Women Football Club, followed by 3 RTB (Reasons-to-believe) Videos, also feature Huynh Nhu but more focused on the benefits of using Visa.

This whole campaign was one of the biggest campaigns for the Visa brand in Vietnam so the scope was a lot, including photoshoot with Huynh Nhu to have a photo library to use later, a Hero film, RTB Videos, social posts, EDMs, Cashless Day events, etc.

My role in the campaign was Jr Art Director and had to work closely with Associate Creative Directors, Copy Writers in:
  • Briefing for production (photoshoot & film)
  • Campaign idea: Proposal, design direction, art direction
  • Hero film idea: Work with ACD and copy writer to come up and finalize the scripts and present to client
  • RTB Videos ideas
  • Storyboard briefing: work closely with visualizer to transform the script to storyboard frames.
  • Brief directors
  • Attend photoshoots, film shoot and production
  • Cashless Day ideas, materials designs

Creative Idea:

This film aiming to convey the brand ethos of Visa “Anyone can make it”:  Despite those exceptional upbringings, greatness will come as long as we have determination.

The film was based on the personal story of Huynh Nhu - The Captain of Vietnam National Women’s Football Team since we believe she is the suitable representative for this spirit. Despite all the difficulties, or setbacks… her determination is what makes her great as today, and even greater in the future.

Following Hero Film, we worked with Visa and production house/ event agencies to develop different activations, events, merchandise to communicate the main campaign ideas and use the sources from Huynh Nhu's photoshoot.
